Wherein did Christ's humiliation consist?

Christ's humiliation consisted in his being born, and that in a low condition, made under the law, undergoing the miseries of this life, the wrath of God, and the cursed death of the cross; in being buried, and continuing under the power of death for a time.

“And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” ~ Luke 2:7 (NASB)

“But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law.” ~ Galatians 4:4 (NASB)

Isaiah 53:3 (NASB)
“He was despised and forsaken of men,
A man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
And like one from whom men hide their face
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.”

“About the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, ‘ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?’ that is, ‘MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME?’” ~ Matthew 27:46 (NASB)

“Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” ~ Philippians 2:8 (NASB)

“Just as JONAH WAS THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS IN THE BELLY OF THE SEA MONSTER, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.” ~ Matthew 12:40 (NASB)
