How doth Christ execute the office of a king?

Christ executeth the office of a king, in subduing us to himself, in ruling and defending us, and in restraining and conquering all his and our enemies.

Psalms 110:3 (NASB) says, “Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power.”

Isaiah 33:22 (NASB) says,
“For the LORD is our judge,
The LORD is our lawgiver,
The LORD is our king;
He will save us.”

The apostle Paul said of Christ, “For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.” ~ 1 Corinthians 15:25 (NASB)

Jesus said to His disciples, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” ~ Matthew 28:18 (NASB)
