If I Could Make the World Behave

-
If I could make the world behave;
If all the elected officials were who I think should be in office, 
And if the all laws of the land restricted what I think should be restricted 
and promoted what I think should be promoted,
I would still have to deal with my mind;
For the mind is the most rebellious of all,
not willing to obey even itself. 
"I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good." (Romans 7:21)

The Death of Moses

Deuteronomy 34 Moses died on Mount Nebo and was buried in the valley of Moab. It is a good thing that no one knows where he was buried, other wise, someone would have likely turned it into a shrine and a place of pilgrimage. This would have contradicted the commandments that Moses gave the sons of Israel. Moses was aloud to see from a distance the land which the Lord swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob but he could not set his foot on the land because he sinned against the Lord. When Moses died, the sons of Israel wept for him for thirty days in the plains of Moab; however, the days of morning and weeping came to an end. This indicates that there is a time for mourning and weeping in this world but there is a time to proceed forward from mourning and weeping.  Not only did Moses die and not enter the land of promise but his servant became his successor. Dear Neighbor, All in the world is not right because we are not right. Everyone clamors for themselves and many are run over in the process. There is a day coming in which God will judge the world in righteousness through Jesus Christ, whom God has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Jesus Christ from the dead. Every knee shall bend and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.  Who is your father? Is your father Adam or God? We were all born of Adam. For this reason Jesus said, “You must be born again. You must be born from above. You must be born of God.” The children of God are born of God. God is Spirit; therefore, the new birth is of the Spirit. The Spirit brings to life whom God wishes.  Romans 9:15 (NASB) For He says to Moses, “I WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM I HAVE MERCY, AND I WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON WHOM I HAVE COMPASSION.” God chooses the vessels of mercy. January 26th in the Year of Our Lord 2021

To whom it may concern, Yesterday, I spent the day caring for two persons, both of whom were recovering from a surgical intervention: a man who had undergone coronary bypass surgery and a woman whom a recovered from a video assisted thoracotomy. I do not love what sin has done to the images of God but I love caring for my neighbor. The profession of nursing is difficult. The things that we see and the things that we do in caring for others is difficult. Nursing is ministry despite anything else mankind has decided it to be. Nurses are as much ministers as the pastor who preaches on Sunday morning. I have decided to bring back a gospel tract that I wrote eight years ago. I have written a few tracts since but I have never improved upon that original tract; therefore, I decided to bring it back.    This morning I read Joshua 16-20.
