Condemned to Hell for Sin or Lack of Faith?

I have often looked at the modern American Christian who worships Christ on Sunday but lives in carnal sin without fear as a conundrum. The word of God is clear in saying that you must be born again (John 3:3, Mark 16:16), and if the Son sets you free from your bondage to sin you are free indeed (John 8:26 NASB). "Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bondslaves of God" (1 Peter 2:16 NASB). So what kind of theology has invaded the church to cause men to believe that they are saved and at the same time living in willful sin without fear? I had a conversation the other day that revealed this unbiblical, unholy, and wicked theology. I'm an RN in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, the other day I was talking with one of the staff members who is also a believer about my recent trip to the Texas state Capitol to preach the gospel. One of the nurses on the unit hearing our conversation said, "Did you hear about that preacher g...

The Sign of Jonah to the people of Texas

Image
On July 10, 2013 me and a few brothers drove down to Austin Texas to preach the gospel at the Texas State Capitol. Much of what had been going on around the Capitol had bothered me. It all revolved around politicking, one group calls themselves pro-choice though that name is deceptive, because that choice results in the brutal death of another human being. The other group calls themselves pro-life but the bill that was before the Texas legislator was not then and now that it is law, it is not pro-life. The bill allows for the brutal death of children in the womb at 20 weeks of life or less as long as it is done inside of a surgery center. Now I ask you, what is pro-life about that? You know the answer, it is not pro-life, it is in fact pro-death. While the bill that was before the Texas legislature was supported by peoples that call themselves pro-life, the bill itself is not pro-life. So why all the fuss and fighting about this bill in the legislature, among the people, and the media....

Valour, Purity, and Justice

Image
The colors of the flag are; red, white, and blue.   What do these colors stand for? Red:  Stands for valour. But the truth is America is a country devoid of valour or bravery. It is a land of selfishness stained by the blood of the innocent, 56 million innocent babies murdered since 1973 for the god of self.  White: Stands for purity and innocence. But the truth is America is a country devoid of innocence and purity. It is a land filled with gross sexual immorality; adultery, divorce, fornication, lust, pornography, and homosexuality.  Blue: Stands for vigilance, perseverance, & justice. But the truth is America is a country without vigilance and has allowed itself to be overrun with lawlessness. It is a land where good is called evil and evil called good.  I will not be celebrating American independence today; America is no different today than the country it fought in 1776, they are one and the same, both led by the corrupt system o...

Putting Man on a Pedestal

Image
This is a picture of Eric Hovind, a brother in Christ standing atop a monument to Atheism at the Bradford County Courthouse in Starke Florida. This monument to Atheism was erected by the American Atheist and was dedicated on Saturday June 29th. During the unveiling ceremony Eric Hovind hopped atop the stone monument and began to publicly herald the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many of my brothers and sisters in Christ would then share this picture on their Facebook accounts, applauding Eric for preaching the gospel, and glorying in the Lord for the Spirit that gave him such courage to do so. I noticed something on the comment feeds however; there were those who claimed to be Christian, and yet revile at the fact that Eric climbed atop the monument and heralded the gospel before all those in attendance. The themes of those comments were this; “you show disrespect for the atheist by doing this, “Jesus wouldn’t do this, “actions are louder than words.” One woman said; “I don’t know wh...

A Love That Is True

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," (Romans 3:23). What is the glory of God, what is the standard of God's glory? Jesus, the glory of God, never did wrong, always did right, and always from faith. 1) Sin is doing what you know is wrong. (1 John 3:4) 2) Sin is not doing what you know is right. (James 4:17) 3) Sin is whatever is not from faith. (Romans 14:13 The word of the LORD came to the prophet Ezekiel saying, "Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine. The soul who sins will die." (Ezekiel 18:4). Is He speaking of the death of the body? He is speaking of the death of the soul in hell, "the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) The Lord God goes on to say that the righteous man will surely live (Ezekiel 18:5-9). But here is the problem; "there is not a righteous man on earth who continually does good and who never sin...

The Contrast of Two Cousins

The apostle John said in his first letter how we may know who is of God and who is not. “You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak as from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.” (1 John 4:4-6) For this reason the Lord said when speaking to Nicodemus; "He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth com...

The Authority of Jesus Christ

Matthew 28:16-20 NASB 16 But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful. 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Revelation 1:8 NASB 7 Behold, HE is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. 8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, " who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:17-19 NASB 17 When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, ...
