God is Love

"The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1 John 4:8 [NASB]). God is love, He is abounding with lovingkindness and truth. Jesus came into the world, as He told Pilate; "to testify to the truth" (Jn 18:37 [NASB]). "No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him." (John 1:18 [NKJV]). Jesus demonstrated love, He has declared God both in word and deed. "And Jesus cried out and said, " He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness." (Jn 12:44-46 [NASB]). "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." (Col 1:15 [NASB]). God is love, therefore, the greatest learning that a man can do is to study love in truth. "Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Cor 13:4-7 [NASB]).

Freedom From Debt by Mike Peek We began the year, 2006, deeply in consumer debt. We were a household of four, husband, wife, with two children: a boy, and a girl. We had good jobs and were driving new automobiles. From the outside, we were living the American dream; however, we were in a budgetary crisis. We were living paycheck to paycheck. It was as if our checking account was a money laundering service, moving money from our employer to the debt industry. I was a master juggler; therefore, we never missed a payment and had FICO scores above 800. I knew what we would have available, after making credit card payments, automobile payments, mortgage payments, and utility bills to spend on groceries, clothing, and lifestyle. We would use the amount, between what we owed, and the credit limit to pay for things. I was even able to predict interest, thereby, avoiding going over the credit limits. Today concludes the 12th class in my endeavor to obtain a Master of Theological Studies. I am now 4/5 of the way through the formal•structured•discipleship program that I launched into on March 14, 2016. I have looked forward to the remaining three classes since I began the program, not because they are the last three classes but because of their subject matter.
